Jason Stier | VA Loan Expert & VA Loan Boss
Jason Stier helps Veterans, active-duty service members, military families and housing professionals understand the VA home loan benefit. With more than two decades in the mortgage industry, Jason has built his work around making VA lending easier to understand, easier to navigate and harder to get wrong.
Who Is Jason Stier?
Jason Stier is a mortgage professional, VA loan educator and the founder of Veteran Community Mortgage. He is known as the VA Loan Boss for his focus on helping Veterans, military families and housing professionals better understand the VA home loan benefit.
His work goes beyond originating mortgages. Jason teaches the strategy behind VA lending, including entitlement, qualification, appraisals, Minimum Property Requirements, PCS decisions, military retirement, refinancing, assumptions and VA construction.
The goal is not to make every Veteran a VA guideline expert. It is to give military families enough accurate information to ask better questions, understand their options and make more confident homeownership decisions.
Why VA Home Loans Became the Mission
For Jason, serving the military community is personal. Military service runs through his family: both of his grandfathers served during World War II, his father served in Vietnam and his older brother served as a combat medic during Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
That connection eventually changed the direction of his mortgage career. Instead of trying to be everything to everyone, Jason chose to build his expertise around the home loan benefit earned through military service.
That decision became the foundation for the VA Loan Boss brand and Veteran Community Mortgage: educate first, understand the Veteran's situation and help military families use their benefit strategically.
Experience & Expertise
More Than Two Decades in Mortgage Lending
Jason's experience spans mortgage production, leadership, education and VA lending. That background gives him a practical view of the loan from both sides: what the guidelines say and what has to happen to move a real transaction from strategy to closing.
VA Home Loan Topics Jason Teaches
VA Eligibility & Entitlement • VA Qualification, Income & Credit • VA Appraisals, Tidewater & MPRs • PCS & Military Relocation • Military Retirement & VA Disability Income • VA Offers, Closing Costs & Seller Concessions • VA IRRRL & Cash-Out Refinancing • VA Loan Assumptions • VA Construction & One-Time Close Loans
Jason's Approach
Understand the benefit. Understand the strategy. Then make the decision.
A mortgage decision should not begin with pressure to apply. It should begin with understanding the Veteran's goals, military timeline, finances, property and future plans.
